In Servant of the God Valerie Douglas has crafted a fantasy of gods, demons, and human beings that transports the reader to Old Kingdom Egypt during the reign of the Pharoh Narmer. Suffice it to say that Ms. Douglas has done her homework and the scenes depict life, religion and beliefs in ancient Egypt to a "T". An enjoyable and surprising historical fantasy and romance.
By Valerie Douglas, The story of Kyri, Queen of the Fair Folk and Morgan, High Marshal to the king is loaded with battles, romance and intrigue. Thoroughly enjoyable adult fiction.

An exceptional book by an exceptional woman, tracing the life of Beryl Markham from her childhood in South Africa to her crowning acheivement, the first solo crossing of the Atlantic Ocean east to west by a woman pilot.. Excellent read, adult non-fiction.
This book is by Antoine de St. Exupery, one of the foremost wordsmiths and philosophers of our times. The reader flies with St. Exupery as he flies an old aircraft with minimal instruments and radio on the Toulouse-Casablanca and the South American Aeropostale air mail routes, his experiences and his thoughts, all told in beautiful words that take the reader into the cockpit in some of the world's worst weather. This is definitely a must read. I'm on my third time around. Non Fiction, adventure, philosophy.

By Nigel C. Winter. Through the haze of philosophy and nostalgia emerges the story of Edward Turner's epic ride on a Triumph 150cc Terrier from Land's End to John O' Groats and the years of his management of the Triumph Motorcycle Corporation. Mr. Winter reconstructs Mr. Turner's trip on a modern Triumph and encounters some of the same difficulties. My major complaint with this book is the small print, otherwise it is an entertaining and informative read. Non fiction, YA to adult.
